A Mediterranean flavour to winter perio events
There is a sunny Mediterranean feel to the national society events calendar for the first quarter of 2015.
The Hellenic Society of Periodontology stages two seminars: (January 30 and 31) on 'Treatment of the Complex Periodontal Case: Preservation of Natural Teeth – Dental Implant Placement', and then March 20-22 on 'Clinical Application of Implants'.
In February (20 and 21), the Portuguese Society of Periodontology and Implantology will celebrate its annual meeting in Porto, while SEPA, the Spanish Society of Periodontology and Osseointegration has chosen to host its 49th annual conference in Barcelona from February 26 to 28, together with the 5th SEPA annual dental hygiene conference (more info on both events here)
The Israeli Society of Periodontology and Osseointegration will also hold its annual conference in February (4 and 5). "New Perspectives for Interdisciplinary Dental Treatment" will be the Israeli Society's 24th annual meeting, and will take place in Tel Aviv with guest speakers Giovanni Zucchelli, Pierpaolo Cortellini, Marc Quirynen, and Andrea Pilloni.
The Adriatic town of Rimini will provide the stage for the 17th International Congress of the Italian Society of Periodontology and Implantology on March 6 and 7 - "Periodontitis: awareness, innovation and method for the management of an epidemic" - with a pre-congress course on March 5.
