Only one month left to register and enjoy ‘early bird’ EuroPerio9 discounts
A packed session at EuroPerio8 in London
The deadline for “early bird” registrations for EuroPerio9 is just a month away, so people who are planning to attend have until March 14 to register at the substantially discounted fee.
The “early bird” registration rate for the Amsterdam congress offers discounts of up to 22 per cent on the regular fees and of up to 36 per cent on late or on-the-door registration.
For example, EFP members pay €530 if they register by March 14, but €680 for registrations between March 15 and June 8, after which the price rises to €810. For dental hygienists, the early-bird price is €390, while for students, dental assistants, and nurses, it is €260.
EuroPerio9, which takes place at RAI Amsterdam from June 20 to 23, offers an unprecedented array of presentations, debates, and other activities focused on periodontal science and clinical practice.
Highlights include live periodontal surgery (for the first time at a EuroPerio congress), a debate session about the global threat of antibacterial resistance, a 3D session on reconstructive surgery at teeth and implants, and a “nightmare session” which will discuss the worst cases that periodontists can treat.
On the opening day, there will be the Perio Talks session, where members of EFP Alumni will give short presentations on what has inspired their professional careers as periodontists, as well as a joint session with the Japanese Society of Periodontology.
The organising committee for EuroPerio9 is giving more prominence in the programme both to younger periodontists and to women as a way of highlighting the diversity of contemporary periodontology in Europe. There will also be a greater number of interactive sessions than in previous congresses.
As well as the programme of lectures and workshops, the congress features an extensive exhibition and an attractive social programme including the always popular Congress Party.
“Whether you are specialists in periodontology and implantology, general dentists, students, dental hygienists, or dental-care professionals, all you want to know about periodontology will be in Amsterdam this year,” said Michèle Reners, chair of the EuroPerio9 organising committee. “Don’t miss it! We are preparing a great perio show with the best world’s speakers in many innovative sessions.”
