EuroPerio9 – all the key dates for registration and submissions
Key dates for EuroPerio9
The EuroPerio9 website provides a clear list of all the key dates related to the congress to enable attendees to prepare well in advance for their time in Amsterdam in June 2018.
Registration for EuroPerio9 with discounted rates opens on Monday, September 25. The “early bird” rate offers discounts of up to 22 per cent on the regular fees and of up to 36 per cent on late or on-the-door registration.
Also from September 25, abstracts of presentations for the Research Sessions of the congress may be presented. Abstracts of scientific presentations (both basic and clinical research) as well as clinical presentations (such as case studies and innovative surgical or therapeutic approaches) may be submitted for consideration.
Abstracts, which must be written in English, will be approved according to their scientific or clinical merit and should be based on previously unpublished data. The EuroPerio9 organising committee will publish a list of topics and more detailed information about the format requirements later in the summer.
The deadline for submitting abstracts is Tuesday, November 28, which is also the deadline for submissions of manuscripts to be considered for the EFP Clinical Research Prize in Periodontology, which is awarded once every three years at the EuroPerio congress.
On top of that, November 28 is also the deadline for applications to participate as a speaker in the “Perio Talk” session that will take place on the afternoon of the first day of EuroPerio9. This is a new format – based on the TED Talks model – in which current and former EFP postgraduate students and members of faculty of the EFP-accredited programmes will give talks of no more than 10 minutes on a wide range of topics.
The next date for the diary is Wednesday, February 28, 2018, which is the date by which all people who have submitted abstracts will be informed if their submissions have been accepted as either oral presentations or posters.
On Wednesday, March 14, 2018, early registration fees come to an end. After this date, normal fees apply until Wednesday, June 8, 2018 at which point late and on-site fees apply.
Finally, EuroPerio9 takes place at the RAI Amsterdam centre from Wednesday, June 20 to Saturday, June 23.
