The Polish Society of Periodontology took advantage of European Gum Health Day 2018 to promote the Oral Health & Pregnancy project, the educational campaign launched last year by the EFP in partnership with Oral-B.
Finland: Action focused on periodontal disease and pregnancy
An article by Mervi Gürsoy about periodontitis and adverse pregnancy outcomes, which also highlighted European Gum Health Day 2018, was published on May 9 in the journal of the Finnish Dental Society.
Austria: Interviews and leaflets at dental schools
Three board members of the Austrian Society of Periodontology gave an interview about periodontitis and prophylaxis and the society also issued a press release which was then distributed by the country’s main news agency.
Eighteen EFP national societies prepare plans to take Oral Health and Pregnancy to local level
The second stage of the Oral Health and Pregnancy project is now well into its second stage as most of the 30 national societies of periodontology affiliated to the EFP are preparing their own projects based on the material.
