Copenhagen

A Week in the City of Adventures

Have you heard that Copenhagen is one of the happiest cities of the world? Rightly so, its sustainable lifestyle, the numerous cultural projects and innovations form it truly one of a kind. The city offers many magical places to see on a walk tour, the little mermaid statue sitting on a rock next to the Langelinie promenade, the New Harbour with its historic waterfront area, where old wooden ships are still moored, and the Christiansborg Palace with its magnificent design, just to mention a few.

With this article, however, we want to dig deeper into less known territories of what this wonderful city can offer to its visitors. We collected 6 events for all tastes, that could be a great extension for you during your stay in Copenhagen.

1. The Grønt Marked – A Farmers Market in Copenhagen

This colourful market first came to life in 2019 and since then became a beautiful volunteer association of food & farming enthusiasts, aiming to create a community event, where everyone can freely meet local farmers and support sustainable production. At the market stalls you can always find the producers themselves, which makes it a great opportunity, to ask questions and even get some recipe recommendations. Due to the high interest in local farming and production, the market is currently expanding to other areas of the city, to bring this wonderful tradition to a sustainable alternative for food-shopping, while supporting a healthy lifestyle.

The market is available once in every second week in two different neighbourhoods of the city. They will be present in Nørrebro, Copenhagen on the 19th of June from 10:00 to 15:00.
