Oral Health and Systemic Health uses spectacular 3D animation to represent some of the key aspects of the molecular and cellular links between periodontal infection/inflammation and systemic diseases and conditions such as atherosclerosis and type-2 diabetes.The video explains how periodontal bacteria enter the bloodstream and lead to systemic inflammation that can promote atherosclerosis and reduce glycaemic control. It also discusses the benefits of periodontal treatment.
