An updated edition of the EFP's dossier on periodontal disease, with all the key facts on the causes, consequences, impact, and treatment of gingivitis, periodontitis, and peri-implantitis. National societies of periodontology are invited to use this dossier on their websites, in their publications, and in their media campaigns for Gum Health Day 2022.
The EFP MANIFESTO
Perio and General Health – is a call to action in terms of prevention, early detection and treatment of periodontitis. It is the first formal declaration in international dentistry to condense years of research into the links between periodontal disease and systemic illnesses into an acknowledgement of periodontitis as a major public health issue.
