Master of Dental Surgery in Periodontology, University of Hong Kong
The Postgraduate programme is a full-time, 3-year programme, designed to enable candidates to achieve an advanced level of knowledge and competence in periodontology. It comprises both study and research components.
The only full time Periodontology training programwith language of instructionrecognized by the EFP. Long history as established 3-year full time program, formal pathway leading to specialization of College of Dentistry of HK Academy of Medicine, ormal quality control and assessment in world leading University, quality of applicants, strong academic and clinical supervision by a large number of full-time teachers, collaboration with 9th People Hospital in Shanghai, Jiao Tong University
The program is dedicated in practical sessions in the clinics with 4-5 sessions weeklywhile lectures literature seminars classic literature journal club, case presentationmultidisciplinary treatment planning and several others items constitute thetheoretical part
Broad range of research projects spanning periodontal regeneration, periodontalplastic surgery, diagnosis and risk assessment, implant dentistry, socket preservation,treatment of periodontitis and periodontal medicine.
