EuroPerio11 photo contest: winning images announced

The EFP is pleased to announce the winners of the third edition of the EuroPerio Photo Contest, which invited members of EFP-affiliated national societies to share their dental-themed photographs ahead of EuroPerio11 that took place in Vienna from 14 to 17 May 2025.

Participants were asked to submit images in one of three categories: Healthy gums/healthy life, Dental disease, and Extreme/Freestyle. The aim of the contest is to highlight different visual perspectives on periodontology and showcase the creativity and attention to detail that dental professionals bring to their work, both clinically and artistically.

Photos submitted to the contest were displayed during EuroPerio11 offering congress attendees the chance to view these original takes on the theme of gum health and disease, and to vote for their favourites in each category.

Winners of the EuroPerio Photo Contest 2025

• The Healthy gums / healthy life category winner was Claudia Sola Martin from Spain, for her photo called “Gingival harmony: the texture of health”
• Raquel González Pérez, also from Spain, received the Dental disease category with her submission “Intraoral picture of the 5th sextant.”
• The entry “Creation of periodontology” won the Extreme/Freestyle prize for Nurefşan Hatice Efeoğlu from Turkey.
