Perhaps it’s because I’m getting old; but to me, our patients, our treatments and our societies are becoming increasingly complex.

Our patients are changing, our treatments are changing, and the science is changing faster than ever.

For the 2027 BSP Conference in Glasgow, we’ve brought together an outstanding group of speakers. They are passionate experts in their fields, who combine cutting-edge knowledge with common sense, practical advice and real-world cases. It’s a programme designed to appeal to the whole dental team.

Our greater understanding of periodontitis is changing how we manage our patients. Layered on to this, modern healthcare means that emerging & advanced therapeutics are now common for a wide range of conditions in the patients that we treat. This conference will bring these developments to life – exploring the science behind periodontal disease, understanding what it means for our patients and, most importantly, working out what we can do differently in the clinic.

And, of course, there will be the early-career events, drinks reception and conference dinner. After all, no Scotland, no party…
