Categories:Education, Events, Institutional

Registration is now open for International Perio Master Clinic 2027, which will focus on “The Perio-Restorative Interplay” in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 30 April to 1 May 2027.
Internationally renowned experts will present evidence-based concepts, advanced clinical protocols and multidisciplinary treatment strategies. The scientific programme (already online) will address a wide range of challenging clinical situations. Among the key highlights, Juan Blanco and Gustavo Giordani will examine surgical, restorative and digital approaches to smile enhancement, while Julio Joly, Serhat Aslan and Ricardo Kern will discuss the treatment of severe periodontitis in the anterior maxilla, from maintaining teeth with reduced periodontal support to regenerative interventions and papilla reconstruction.
Sofia Aroca and Anton Sculean, EFP secretary general, will explore the management of multiple adjacent recessions, with a focus on periodontal plastic surgery in the maxilla and mandible and its combination with restorative treatment.
Other sessions will explore tooth- and implant-supported restorations in periodontally compromised dentitions, the treatment of bone defects in the anterior maxilla and complex perio-ortho-restorative cases. Video-based clinical sessions will demonstrate digital workflows for smile enhancement and tooth autotransplantation, helping participants translate scientific knowledge into everyday practice.
EFP Perio Master Clinics are known for their practical approach: participants should be able to apply what they learn at the event when they return to their clinics. The 2027 version in Rio de Janeiro will also create new opportunities for dialogue and collaboration between the periodontal and restorative communities from Europe, Latin America and beyond.
In their welcome message, congress chair Sergio Kahn (Brazil) and co-chair Mariano Sanz (Spain) say: "Set in one of the world’s most iconic cities, IPMC 2027 will combine scientific rigour with international connectivity in a truly inspiring setting. We very much look forward to welcoming you to Rio de Janeiro for this landmark edition.”
Participation is limited to ensure an optimum learning experience, and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Early registration fees are available until 4 December 2026, with preferential rates for EFP members.
