EFP Probe

Putting Classification

and Guidelines into Practice

Developed in collaboration with HuFriedyGroup

Overview

The EFP Probe is an innovative diagnostic instrument that combines screening and treatment functions in a single tool.

Officially introduced at EuroPerio11 in Vienna, the EFP Probe is designed to help clinicians diagnose and treat periodontal disease in accordance with the current classification and S3-level clinical practice guidelines.

Developed in collaboration with HuFriedyGroup, the EFP Probe reflects the federation’s commitment to advancing clinical excellence in periodontology.

The EFP probe not only unifies screening and treatment into a single instrument, but also makes it easier to determine, in line with the guidelines, whether a situation is healthy, requires non-surgical therapy, or may need surgical treatment. At the same time, it functions as a full periodontal probe, with a ball tip that helps check for overhangs and plaque factors.

It also allows for a more straightforward implementation of the Perio Classification and EFP Guidelines.
